From the first meeting until the final checks of our son's mila, it was a real pleasure and blessing to work with Rabbi Feldstein as our mohel. We had a Shabbos bris and Rabbi Feldstein traveled to our community to stay over with his family. We felt that Rabbi Feldstein, whom we had just met a few times, participated fully in the simcha of our new son and became a friend. He was very caring and sensitive - towards us (the parents), our family members, and of course, our new baby boy. He performed the bris with precision and skill, and remained calm and focused, despite a lot going on beforehand. The post-bris instructions were easy to follow and our new son did great. We would highly recommend using Rabbi Feldstein as your mohel if you want someone who is highly-skilled and knowledgeable in mila and a wonderful person to deal with.

Rabbi Ari Feldstein made the circumcision process simple, straightforward, and as gentle as possible. We were very fortunate he was available to make time to circumcise our second boy, since he travels many miles to make this process easy and comfortable and done in the privacy of one’s own home. Our eldest son was circumcised in the hospital shortly after he was born, and we were not allowed to be there to comfort him. Conversely, this experienced mohel performed my second son’s circumcision while I was able to be in the room with him, and I was grateful for his transparency and warmth. It also seemed to me my second son made a swifter recovery. Lastly, Rabbi Ari provided very clear and detailed instructions for caring for our boy in the subsequent days, which helped with the serenity of the overall experience.

Rabbi Feldstein really impressed us. Not only did he do a great job with our son’s bris, but he made the whole experience smooth and pleasant.
To ensure the baby would be ready for the bris, Rabbi Feldstein volunteered to drive an hour to come check the baby where we were despite his busy schedule (two brissim that morning) because he understood that it would be difficult for us to travel with a newborn. He arrived with a smile and everything we could possibly need for the bris. He even offered to bring a special outfit for the day of the bris! Rabbi Feldstein is extremely organized and gave us very clear, typed-out instructions for every step of the way. We could tell we were in good hands. To top it all off, at the bris, we had many nonreligious guests and Rabbi Feldstein immediately adapted to the audience and gave great explanations for each part of the bris to keep everyone involved and give the guests a good understanding of what was going on. We’re very happy with our mohel.

The most caring mohel!
We had an excellent experience with Rabbi Ari Feldstein and strongly recommend him as a wonderful mohel. Rabbi Feldstein is very knowledgeable in all areas related to a bris, and is also extremely knowledgeable in newborn care. He spent time answering our questions and working out bris details with us. He was very efficient and delicate during the actual bris and he followed up several times to ensure that our baby healed properly (our son healed very quickly!). Having 5 boys = 5 Bris Milas. As it turns out, we used 5 different Mohels- two in NY/NJ, one in CA, two in MD. I can confidently say that mine and my wife's review is worth a bit more (unless the next review used 6 Mohels!)
Our favorite 2 mohels were...one in NY who was actually nationally renown and had over 50 years of experience. The other...Rabbi Feldstein. Yes! The much younger Rabbi Feldstein compared, to the renowned well-seasoned mohel and, in certain ways, surpassed him!
Rabbi Feldstein was extremely thorough. Besides providing a handsome outfit and bris pillow, he even supplied all the follow up medical supplies we needed for the weeks after the bris! We didn't not even set foot into CVS/Walgreens as we had to in the past. We were able to focus solely on our family and new addition.
He gave proper attention to detail in explaining the aftercare process to us. It was clear from the moment we met him until his final checkup visit just how much he cares. He even drove 50 minutes to our house, checked the baby for 5 minutes, then drove back home 50 minutes!
Even more impressive was a week after our bris which largely consisted of Orthodox Jews, I witnessed him perform at a bris with a mixed crowd- non-religious, conservative, and reform Jews present. He explained everything clearly and with good humor that kept the guests engaged in this special mitzvah.
We've had our fair share of circumcisions, and at this point are ready for a little princess, but after experiencing how easy, professional, and enjoyable it was to work with Rabbi Feldstein, we would be "okay" with another boy (🤫 hope my wife doesn't read this😬.)
