Hailing from New York, Rabbi Ari Feldstein, PhD studied for over a decade at the Ner Israel Rabbinical College, where he earned his Rabbinic Ordination as well as a Masters and Doctorate in Talmudic Law. There he placed special emphasis on Jewish ritual circumcision (bris milah), focusing on its history, laws and customs.
He began his clinical training as a mohel in 2012 in the operating room of a surgeon, and subsequently gained tutelage in the intricacies of the procedure from several mohels around the world. He holds certification from the prestigious London School of Circumcision where he underwent further training in circumcision operations, including rare cases.
He was additionally tested and observed by world-renowned mohel Rabbi Moshe Heinemann, who, impressed with Rabbi Feldstein’s knowledge and performance of bris milah, granted him further certification in the field (see letter here).
Rabbi Feldstein has since performed bris milah/circumcision for families of all types in a multitude of communities across the United States and abroad.
He currently resides with his wife and four children in Baltimore but travels across Maryland, nearby states, and just about anywhere to perform bris milah/circumcision.
He is widely recognized for his excellent skillset and warm personality, which together make each family he serves confident that they – and their son – are in great hands.
